Children's Week: SEPT 30-OCT 6 2018

Theme:   A Community United: Focusing on raising awareness for the enrichment of our children and their families

Sunday, September 30th:

Children's Week Kick-off Parade - Downtown Augusta; 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm 

The parade features a diverse group (floats, marching bands, cheerleaders, car clubs, etc.) from local agencies, businesses and schools will travel from Reynolds Street down to 7th Street and up Broad Street ending on Reynolds Street.

Youth Talent Showcase  - Augusta Commons; 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Talent Showcase features an afternoon of local talent (dancing, poetry, singing, stepping, etc.).

Monday, October 1st: 

APC Movie Night - to be determined

Movie night features fun for the entire family. This event is free to the public.  Additional details to follow.

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, October 2nd-4th :

Children's STORY TIME - Augusta-Richmond County Public Library; 10:00 am

Story Time features a morning of reading fun for preschoolers at the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library! Children will enjoy listening to local volunteers as they share some of their favorites stories.  This event includes visiting five different story stations. 

To register your child to attend Story Time, please contact the Children's Department at (706)821-2623.

Wednesday, October 3rd:

Legislative Breakfast - By invitation Only

The Legislative Breakfast features a early morning forum for local members of the consortium to voice its collective concerns to address issues negatively impacting children and their families in Augusta-Richmond County with lawmakers and legislative leaders in an effort to create systems change.

Friday, October 5th:

Mommy and Me Brunch - to be determined

This event features an afternoon of brunch, crafts, door prizes and games.  Mommy will  get to create a special project with their child to commemorate the event.  Being a mommy isn't easy, but it truly is rewarding!   For more information, please contact Dawnn Hudson at (706)721-1040.

#1is2Many Teen Maze  - Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School; 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

The purpose of the #1is2Many Teen Maze is to provide hands on learning that will allow teens to experience the benefits or consequences of their decisions, because one life negatively affected by a poor decision is too many. Teens often face potentially life altering decisions daily. Many of those decisions have positive results while others lead to devastating consequences.

Annual "Unwine & Relax" Craft Beer/Wine Tasting and Silent Auction: NOV 16, 2018 

Join APC for our 8th Annual Unwine & Relax Craft Beer/ Wine Tasting and Silent Auction @ The River Room at St. Paul's (605 Reynolds Street, Augusta, GA). 7-10pm. 

Benefits go to the Augusta Partnership for Children, Inc. All proceeds will be used to expand APC to further our mission of developing and sustaining partnerships that provide services to improve the lives of children and their families.

Join APC for our Annual Dinner and Awards @ The Foundry at Rae's Creek (250 Boy Scout Road Augusta, GA) at 6pm. 

APC will be honoring several members of the Augusta Community for their work with Children and Families. Awards include: "2018 Outstanding Community Volunteer," " 2018 Parent of the Year," "2018 Outstanding Youth Advocate," "2018 Outstanding Community Supporter," "2018 Outstanding Program Supporter," "2018 Visionary Award," and "2018 APC Employee of the Year."
