Children's Week 2011
Each year several of its partners join together to coordinate and plan a week of activities for children, youth and their families known as Children’s Week. This year, 2011, marks the 23rd year that Children’s Week will be celebrated. Beginning on Friday, September 30 the festivities will continue through Saturday, October 8 and will include a Kick-Off Celebration, Funtageous, Family Festival/Education Fair, Parade, Students Who Care Luncheon, Children’s Story Time, Legislative Breakfast, and Augusta's Youth Got Talent show.
In 2010, Children’s Week yielded 8,000 patrons and this year is expected to be bigger and better. This annual event features a variety of activities for children of all ages and their families. Each activity is unique in that it offers fun and enriching activities for children while providing opportunities for parents and agency/nonprofit personnel to learn about the various resources in our community (specifically for children and families). Children’s Week is also a time for our young people to showcase their talents, skills, and abilities to the general public. Additionally, sponsorships and donations allow all Children’s Week events and activities to be free of charge, thus enabling persons of all economic levels to participate.

Mother's Day Salute
The Mother's Day Salute is an annual event held in recognition of the pregnant and parenting women enrolled the Augusta Partnership for Children's Healthy Start Program. Not only are these women enrolled in the program, they are active participants who have completed all prenatal care visits, well baby checks, and have participated in health education sessions and consortium activities. During the event, participants receive maternal health education and network with local agenices and organizations regarding their programs and services. This event is our way of congratulating program participants for their efforts and saying thank you for their support of the program.
