The Augusta Partnership for Children, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director.  Please review the job description below.  Qualified persons should submit a resume, cover letter and three references to the contact listed at the end of the announcement.  Deadline to apply is May 20, 2016.

Responsible to:     Board of Trustees

Job Functions:  The Executive Director functions as the Chief Executive Officer of the agency/organization, and oversees all administrative functions including program development, planning, and implementation, human resources, fund raising, grant writing and management, community/public relations, financial affairs, risk management, legal compliance, and resource development.

The Executive Director is responsible for community organizing and consortium building, ensuring that all programs and activities are in accordance with the mission and vision statement policies of the Board of Trustees. The Executive Director facilitates and coordinates the work of the organization in regularly assessing the needs and service gaps in the community, along with identifying emerging opportunities, and serves as the key agency representative with community organizations and funding sources.

The Executive Director is responsible to the Board of Trustees, and the Board of Trustees are tasked with supporting the mission of the Augusta Partnership for Children, Inc. Key joint leadership milestones include establishing and implementing the three-year strategic plan, and establishing the annual plan of action including the development of all program and financial goals and objectives. Ensuring preparation of budget for board approval. Keeping the Board fully informed on the condition of the organization and on all the important factors influencing it. Working with all functioning committees of the Board of Trustees and ensuring that board policies are operationally effective.

The Executive Director maintains a cooperative relationship with the Georgia Family Connection Partnership and all community partners, and is responsible for fulfilling associated duties (i.e. planning, facilitating, and coordinating the collaborative work) and assisting the collaborative in meeting all requirements as outlined in the responsibilities of a Georgia Family Connection collaborative.

The Executive Director ensures that the agency is in compliance with national, state, and nonprofit standards and procedures when applicable. Under the direction and guidance of the Board of Trustees, the Executive Director provides leadership and direction to the overall planning process, guides staff, provides professional development, and promotes a climate of staff and team relations that embodies success.

 

Education:  Bachelor's Degree in administration, management or related field is required.  Masters, Ed.D or Ph.D. preferred.

Experience:  Minimum of five years of executive level management experience in an administrative/management role. Experience must include grant writing, fundraising, working with volunteer boards and effectively managing human and financial resources.
